History
Physician Management was founded by Joseph Fastow and Ellen Kesser in 1974 to provide Internal Medicine house coverage services to hospitals in Maryland. By 1976, Physician Management rapidly expanded physician services to hospitals in Virginia and New Jersey. Physician Management began to provide emergency medicine and urgent care services to hospitals in southern Maryland in 1984. We currently have 17 contracts with 11 hospitals in the Mid-Atlantic region for the provision of internal medicine, pediatrics, emergency medicine and urgent care. We have approximately 200 physicians and physician assistants working under contract with us.
